What a week and it's only Wednesday!

I can't believe how crazy this week has been. With Fire Prevention Month and Red Ribbon Week this week also, it has been crazy. Seven and eight year olds can not handle change to their schedule very easily. Monday and Tuesday were rough but we have managed to have a great day today!
It amazes me how much these kids are aware of nowadays compared to when we were growing up. A student told another child today to "shut the f*** up". She is seven years old! What are parents thinking when they speak this language around their children. The little girl said that her mom uses that language around her. It blows me away! In so many ways, I guess I had a sheltered childhood. A loving mom and dad and sister, house to live in, food to eat, and clothes to wear. I wasn't spoiled but I never went without something I needed. I am reminded everday of how blessed I am and how lucky I was growing up.

Hey Y,all! I have decided after reading other people's blogs obsessively for awhile that it is time to start my own. I need a creative outlet and decided that this might be a good place to start.
